One regular Step for Wifey, One BIG Leap for Rachel

As part of my prolonged stay we went to The Giants Causeway up at the north coast. So what is the Giants Causeway eh? In short it is a pretty amazing and breathtaking collection of hexagonal rock columns caused naturally by an ancient volcanic eruption. There's an actual legend telling the story of how it happened but I had to look that up ^^'  Wifey isn't a very good story teller (I tell tragic love stories like a pro ;D)
Giant's Causeway Folklore & Legend

The story tells that the Giant’s Causeway was built by Finn McCool as a walk way to fight the Scottish giant Benandonner.

Finn fell asleep before going across to Scotland and he woke up to find the Scottish giant appearing on the horizon. Finn realised Benandonner was much bigger than himself and ran to his wife Oonagh wondering what he should do. Oonagh disguised Finn as a baby and made him curl up in an enormous cradle. Benandonner saw the huge ‘child’ in the cradle and began to wonder what size his father would be. Benandonner returned to Scotland and destroyed the Causeway as he returned home.

The view from the top (Well wherever I was, I don't think it was quite the top)

A real picture of the rocks up close that isn't mine

Wifey insisted again on taking photos of me. They will not be included in this post ^^'

Secret Animal Lover

Entrance sign for Belfast Zoo
That's right, it really says Belfast! :D
On 27th May my boyfriend (I now insist on calling him 'Wifey') took me to the zoo ^^
I've never actually been to a zoo so it was a bundle of fun (I don't count Flamingo Land as a zoo)
The first things I saw though were the stacks of stuffed Panda's in the gift shop, they were SO cute, I think we both wanted one ^^' turned out that I saw a LOT of animals today that I wanted to keep as pets
Mediterranean tortoise Gentoo penguin
Red panda Andean bear
Isn't the red panda (bottom left) adorable? I also quite want to take the tortoise home.
In our next lives, me and Wifey want to be penguins. They're so chilled and you can penguin huddle (that's a snuggle to us) when it's cold ^^

D'aww isn't the little meerkat  cute? We wanted to snuggle him out and call him Alexander ;D
It took me ages to get a photo of you you little meerkat, you didn't seem to like the attention much.

The pretty waterfall thingy in the part where they had loads of birds and yay, me at the sea lion place! (Wifey insists on taking photos of me -___-)

But no, I never realised before then that I actually liked animals so much - I'm never considered myself to be an animal lover so wahey! Learnt something new about myself!

Crazy Bubble Tea - Yeh, Yeh, Yeh!!!

Today has been SO warm! Black skinny jeans are not fun in 20 odd degrees ><
While on my way to pay Traveling Man I came across the most amazing shop on Church Street opposite The Works called Crazy Bubble Tea. A shop full of Bubble Tea. MUST. SEE.

Eye instantly caught
They have SUCH an amazingly varied menu too! I've had Bubble Tea various times in Leeds and Newcastle and while Bread Point in Newcastle is very varied compared to Leeds that just does classic Bubble Tea, Bread Point had NOTHING on Crazy Bubble Tea!

A shot of the counter

The various poppings or bubbles you can chose from. It's makes a nice change from only having the choice of Tapioca.

I had a Green Tea Lychee flavoured tea with mixed poppings after trying the samples they had out. It was really nice and VERY refreshing, especially in this weather.

The poppings. They were SO much fun! It was a funny sensation when they popped xD

Super cute seals! My Hello Kitty is an Eskimo! ^^

I had to share the fantastic discovery with my auntie and I had to take her on a Bubble Tea adventure and while I'm not a big fan of coconut her Coconut and tar milk tea was REALLY nice and creamy!
We also tried the shots of Honeydew milk tea which were lovely - that one's next on the menu for me!

If you're a fan of Bubble Tea or maybe if you're a tea drinker or just someone wanting to try something new then I strongly suggest you pop in!
